Queensland Rail – Blackall Range

Scaffolding for rail bridge on Sunshine Coast provides safe access without interrupting train services.

In 2017, Central Scaffolding was contracted to design and supply scaffolding for the repairs of a rail bridge in Woombye, on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. The scaffolding needed to be able to give maintenance staff access to the bridge without interrupting the flow of trains or presenting any risk to passengers.

As well as preventative maintenance, the job also included a new coat of paint, requiring a scaffold that provided ease of access to every element of the bridge for the painting crew.
